Here is a list of customizations that SocialSermons offers - these can be changed on a weekly basis and you'll have the opportunity to make these selections within the submission form you send to us every week:
Timestamps: We're more than glad to review your sermon in full and extract the portions that stand out to us (it's part of the SocialSermons package!). But if you'd like to provide us with custom timestamps that you know you want to use - there's a spot in your submission form precisely for that.
Font Styling & Placement: We have a series of styling options that you can choose from in the weekly submission form. If you have a custom font that your church uses, simply send it over to us and select the custom font option in your weekly submission form, and we'll make sure to use it. Like a little variety? Choose a different font styling each week to mix things up.
Hook Presentation: Each week in your submission form you can choose to have your hook placed as a silent title on top of your preacher speaking or injected as an audible voiceover.
End Screen: Every SocialSermon concludes with an end screen that invites viewers to engage with your sermon in full. Choose which end screen you want in a given week in your weekly submission form for a number of different options.
Customizations we try to avoid
What about additional customizations beyond the scope of what's outlined above?
The most important thing to remember is that every element of a SocialSermon has been carefully chosen to be there for a reason. So let's say you want to remove the end screen or eliminate the hook - these kind of changes can negatively impact the performance of your SocialSermons and detract from their purpose altogether.
The other kind of customizations we aim to avoid are infinitesimal adjustments on the margins. For example, changes such as swapping out stock footage or changing a backing track - the kinds of changes that you might be accustomed to making with larger scale creative projects in your church.
The goal with SocialSermons, however, is to deliver you three new videos every single week. For the long-term. And the reason this matters is because it allows your church to post roughly every other day on social media sustainably - for months on end. And that is the kind of rhythm necessary to have a meaningful presence on social.
And what is one of the biggest opponents to this goal? Getting stuck in the mud. Circling back on minor changes that in the grand scheme of things will have little to no effect on our primary objectives for your church on social.
Now, if you're still in your first month with SocialSermons, it's perfectly reasonable to expect some back-and-forth as we settle in to this new partnership. But over time, our ultimate target is to predictably deliver you SocialSermons ready to go on the first try every week.
This is how we make the program most successful for you and your church. π«‘
