How to connect your profiles to Vista Social

Follow these instructions to provide SocialSermons with secure access to your church's profiles.

To publish your SocialSermons for you, we need access to your church’s social profiles. We use a scheduling platform called Vista Social, and connecting your profiles takes about 5 minutes per platform.

Before you start

  1. Accept your Vista Social invite. You’ll get an email invitation when you sign up with SocialSermons. Accept it and create your free account with a secure password.

  2. Log in to the right accounts. Make sure the person connecting has admin access to each social profile. Facebook and Instagram are connected through a Facebook login, so log in to the Facebook profile that has admin access to your church’s Facebook Page first.

Connect your accounts

In Vista Social, click Quick Add → Add Social Profile and choose your church’s profile group. Then follow Vista Social’s guide for each platform you’d like us to post to:

We ask that you only connect accounts that we'll be publishing to. Avoid connecting things like: Facebook Groups, Google My Business, Canva.

🚨 Two tips that prevent most connection problems

  • Select All on Facebook and Instagram. On the Facebook permission screens, choose Select All for Pages, Groups and Instagram accounts, even ones you don’t plan to connect, and don’t change any of the permission toggles. Changing even one can break the connection.

  • Instagram needs a Business or Creator profile. A personal Instagram profile can’t be connected. Switch it in the Instagram app first, then connect. It must also be linked to a Facebook Page. A guide on that can be found here.

Once you’re connected

Your accounts will appear in Vista Social, and we’ll take it from there. Each week you’ll get an email to review and approve your posts before they go live. See Approving your SocialSermons using Vista Social.

If an account ever disconnects, see how to reconnect it here.
